Shelby Perkins

Shelby was led to yoga through basketball in high school, where her mat quickly became her home as she moved through life’s changes. March 2014, she completed her 200hr yoga teacher training, going on to regularly guiding classes ever since. She believes that time spent on your mat is an opportunity to connect your body and mind, creating a space to listen and respect each other. Her classes are designed for you to build a personal connection to yourself, with suggestions on how to move in your body safely. You can expect to leave feeling balanced by both strengthing and lengthening asanas throughout the class. This feeling will have a ripple effect on the life that happens off of your mat.

She discovered her passion for teaching and went on to get multiple certifications including becoming a certified personal trainer.  In 2014, she decided to deepen her personal yoga practice with her 200-hour yoga teacher training, It was through this training that yoga became not only a physical practice but a way of life.  A few years later, she decided to extend her yoga studies to a 500-hour yoga teacher training with a healing focus.  Tanya's deepest passion is healing the body, mind, and spirit through the practices she teaches.

Carla Harless

Carla loves helping clients feel better in their bodies but equally rewarding is igniting curiosity about their own biology and giving them tools to learn to help themselves.  The unique combination of movement & massage in Carla’s classes assists people in becoming more embodied & empowered.

She has been a licensed massage therapist in Texas since 1996 and has studied many different modalities including prenatal/post-partum, ashiatsu deep tissue, and reflexology as well as extensive training in aromatherapy and anatomy. For over 10 years, Carla was a certified yoga teacher but felt there was something missing from her understanding of how the body moves & functions.  This thirst for knowledge & endless curiosity led her to biomechanist Katy Bowman, M.S. of Nutritious Movement. In 2014, she earned certification as a Nutritious Movement® Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and, in 2016, became an NM® Move Your DNA Instructor offering workshops twice per year. In 2015, Carla completed Roll Model Method® training to include teaching therapy ball self-massage/myofascial release in her classes.

Alison Pounds

Alison started practicing yoga in 2017 when she was dealing with some health issues that limited her exercise options. Yoga filled the need for a suitable workout, but as she continued to practice, she found that yoga and somatic practices helped her connect back to her body and the power and wisdom she holds within. She discovered physical and emotional healing in deep ways that she did not expect.

Her desire to offer these healing practices to others led her to begin her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the beginning of 2023, studying with experienced teacher, Patty Williamson. She also has completed a 150-hour certification in Trauma-Informed Yoga and Somatic Practices with Collective Resilience Yoga.

Alison teaches with a trauma-informed and holistic approach, integrating the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. She is passionate about creating accessible and spaces for all people to cultivate a greater sense of presence, connection, and resilience within themselves. In her classes, you can expect a lot of options, choices, and invitations to hold compassion and curiosity about what’s present in the whole self and to remind you of the wisdom you have within.
